Maasai Mara Road Safaris
The place you should not miss when visiting Kenya is The Maasai Mara National Reserve, a place Kenya is always proud to highlight and display to its highly esteemed visitors. This reserve is a beautiful scenery that seems to have characteristic spots thanks to its trees and the nature of the savannah. In addition, it is a large expansive area where wild animals live safely.
Every year, from July to October, the Maasai Mara experiences the Great Migration of local animals in huge but organized numbers. These consist of zebras, elegant and refined Thomson's gazelles with their gracious crowns, together with wildebeests going along smoothly.
In open grasslands, make sure to raise your head in order to look at the tallest living animal you have seen, of course, it is the giraffe. Lions, leopards, and cheetahs are also part of the Maasai-Mara-reserve; they live in great numbers so you will definitely spot them trying to prey for the day’s feast or just lazing under the warm sun but if you are lucky, you will witness a beautiful moment of motherly love between female wild cats and their cute babies.
Many movies and TV shows have been using those unique and unequally stunning sceneries and their inhabitants to mesmerize our sights. However, animals and sceneries are not the only things to do there, meeting the Maasai people is indispensable, discovering a foreign and new culture where humans merge with nature and live peacefully with it.
They have distinctive colorful dresses using very flamboyant colors and customs that are a lot more distinctive next to that are the accessories wore by men and women the latter wear beads showing their status enlarging the earlobe. The music and dance are jubilant but used mainly in spiritual rituals.
The Maasai Mara National Reserve is certainly a place to visit and a place to remember.
